RESUMO

Objective: The objective of this study was to explore the game relationship among enterprise, the government, and the public under the new media environment, so as to provide decision-making reference for improving enterprise green technology innovation and promoting economy high-quality development with new media participation. Methods: This study constructs a three-subject evolutionary game model of enterprise, government, and public based on multi-agent relationship analysis and evolutionary game theory. In addition, the derivation of an evolutionary equilibrium strategy and numerical simulation analysis is carried out to comprehensively explore the evolution trajectory of green technology innovation system under the new media environment. Findings: (1) The system may have four stable evolutionary strategies: (1,0,0), (0,0,1), (1,0,1), and (1,1,1). (2) The initial strategy probability of various actors would affect the system evolution speed but not the evolution result, and the authenticity of new media reports is an important factor determining the system evolution of green technology innovation. (3) Numerical simulation results show that a fair and just new media environment can effectively constrain the traditional production behavior of enterprise, actively guide the public to participate in supervision, and play an alternative role to government regulation to a certain extent. Value: This study explores the evolutionary balance strategy of green technology innovation system under the new media environment, which not only enriches relevant theories of media environment governance but also has important reference value for promoting enterprises' green technology innovation and establishing an environmental governance system jointly governed by government, enterprise, public, and media.

BACKGROUND: In this study, we analyze the cost-effectiveness of fruquintinib as third-line treatment for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer in China, especially after a recent price drop suggested by the National Healthcare Security Administration. METHODS: A Markov model was developed to investigate the cost-effectiveness of fruquintinib compared to placebo among patients with metastatic colorectal cancer. Effectiveness was measured in quality-adjusted life years (QALY). The Chinese healthcare payer's perspective was considered with a lifetime horizon, including direct medical cost (2019 US dollars [USD]). A willing-to-pay threshold was set at USD 27,130/QALY, which is three times the gross domestic product (GDP) per capita. We examined the robustness of the model in one-way and probabilistic sensitivity analysis. RESULTS: Fruquintinib was associated with better health outcomes than placebo (0.640 vs 0.478 QALYs) with a higher cost (USD 20750.9 vs USD 12042.2), resulting in an incremental cost-effectiveness ratio (ICER) of USD 53508.7 per QALY. This ICER is 25% lower than the one calculated before the price drop (USD 70952.6 per QALY). CONCLUSION: After the price negotiation, the drug becomes cheaper and the ICER is lower, but the drug is still not cost effective under the standard of 3 times GDP willing-to-pay threshold. For patients with metastatic colorectal cancer in China, fruquintinib is not a cost-effective option under the current circumstances in China.

BACKGROUND: Little is known about the molecular signature of the rare tumor sinonasal squamous cell carcinoma (SNSCC). The purpose of this study was to comprehensively assess various molecular biomarkers in SNSCC. METHODS: We chose 13 markers for this study, which have been known as prognostic markers in head and neck squamous cell carcinoma. Expression of these markers was examined by either in situ hybridization or immunohistochemical methods on tissue microarrays made from 70 SNSCC specimens and 28 matched-pair normal tissues from patients who underwent surgical resection at our institution. Expression data were correlated with patient clinicopathologic parameters and survival. RESULTS: Of the 13 markers, only epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) protein expression was associated with significantly shorter disease-free survival (DFS; p = .01307). EGFR expression was also associated with shorter overall survival (OS), but the difference was not statistically significant. CONCLUSION: Targeted inhibition of tumor EGFR expression may be a new approach to treating SNSCC.

Conventional MBR has been mostly based on floc sludge and the use of costly microfiltration membranes. Here, a novel aerobic granule (AG)-mesh filter MBR (MMBR) process was developed for cost-effective wastewater treatment. During 32-day continuous operation, a predominance of granules was maintained in the system, and good filtration performance was achieved at a low trans-membrane pressure (TMP) of below 0.025 m. The granules showed a lower fouling propensity than sludge flocs, attributed to the formation of more porous biocake layer at mesh surface. A low-flux and low-TMP filtration favored a stable system operation. In addition, the reactor had high pollutant removal efficiencies, with a 91.4% chemical oxygen demand removal, 95.7% NH(4)(+) removal, and a low effluent turbidity of 4.1 NTU at the stable stage. This AG-MMBR process offers a promising technology for low-cost and efficient treatment of wastewaters.
